During set up of our exhibition in the beautiful spaces of the Nymphenburg Porzellan Manufaktur, we were lucky to get a tour through the extensive workshops.
Nymphenburg is historically the porcelain manufactory of the Bavarian crown. Since its founding in 1747 porcelain has been produced here in the same way. Even today all mechanical equipment is powered by the water which runs from the estate’s stream. All pieces are completely made by hand which is a fascinating process to watch. We very much enjoyed our visit!
