The ‘Monobloc’ chair, used across the globe, is moulded in Kevlar (bulletproof fabric) that has been marked and splashed, then layered with fibreglass and resin to create a chair of imperfections. The choice of Kevlar directly contradicts the mass-produced impersonal values of its origins, demanding a careful, considered and handmade approach. One of the ‘dirty thoughts’ chairs was taken to a shooting range in Bavaria, where it was shot in mid-air, embedding it with pellet marks,
