‘Unschuld’ was made from native Swiss maple wood by a historic, traditional Swiss carpenter, a Weissküfer, who usually produces equipment for dairy and alpine farming.
This piece forms part of the alpine 2 exhibition, where Sachs reflects on alpine history, culture and craftsmanship. This new work was shown alongside some iconic pieces at the Vieux Chalet in Gstaad (Switzerland) in collaboration with Hauser & Wirth. The exhibition featured sculptures, portraiture and a large-scale site-specific installation on the exterior.
